What you see in these photos is the product of almost six months at the paint shop. During this time the metal was massaged carefully and fit and alignment were prioritized. In all, by now, the car had been block sanded and primed 5 times | |||||||||||||

| Similarly, the doors, fenders, deck lid, scoops and front fascia were separately prepared for painting. The plan was to paint all components separately, then re-assemble and paint together. | ||||||||||||||

Now the initial coat of paint was buffed in preparation for the final coat of paint. The next step is to reassemble the body, tape and then apply the final coat of paint and the stripes. This will be covered in the next installment. | |||||||||||||
